Samsung announced on Friday a global withdrawal of an unprecedented Galaxy Knut phone 7, after it caught fire in several of them during shipment, a promising new alternative to provide phones for all buyers.
Samsung apologized - the giant technology company - from the clouds during a press conference in Seoul, saying that its investigation found that the cause of the defect is due to a problem with the battery.
Said Koh Dong-jin, head of mobile division at Samsung, said that only 24 million out of a phone from the Galaxy Note 7 smart phones were found in a defect in the battery.
He said Koh at the conference "with effect from 1 September / September scored a total of 35 claims with the Samsung service centers at home and abroad, only 24 of them out of a million affected by the battery problem," according to news agency "Yonhap" South Korean.
He explained that Samsung will replace all the Galaxy Note 7 phones sold "at home and abroad another, regardless of the date of purchase."
He continued, "We put the safety of our customers is our top priority, so we decided to stop sales of the Galaxy Note 7 and replace it."
Samsung began selling the new phone in the August 19 / August in 10 countries around the world.
This is the first time that the company offers to move to withdraw a product of this magnitude.

The official said that the timing of the switch varies from one country to another, depending on the delivery of certain parts, adding that he will be announced as soon as possible.
